  • Received Best Poster Paper Award for the paper entitled “High dose rate intraluminal radiation for the palliative management of malignant biliary tract obstruction by endoscopic method:a preliminary report” presented at 3rd international conference of RGCON held at New Delhi in April 2004.
  • Received Travel Award from American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver for presenting a paper at the 14th Biennial conference of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver held at Delhi in December 2004.
  • Awarded Certificate of Distinction by American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver for an outstanding poster presentation of a paper entitled “ Terlipressin versus albumin in paracentesis induced circulatory dysfunction in cirrhosis” at the AASLD/APASL Workshop during the 14th Biennial conference of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver held at Delhi in December 2004.

  • Received Best Paper Award for the paper entitled “Endoscopic intraluminal brachytherapy and metal stent in malignant hilar biliary obstruction” at XVth National Conference of Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology, held at PGI, Chandigarh in September 2005.
  • Paper entitled “Noradrenaline versus albumin in paracentesis-induced circulatory dysfunction in cirrhosis” Was selected for the Young Investigator Award Session at Annual Indian Society of Gastroenterology Conference held at Vishakapatnam from 11th November to 15th November 2005. The above paper was given the Best Paper Award in the Young Investigator Award Session.
  • European Association for the Study of Liver awarded full bursary for presenting a paper entitled “Noradrenaline and albumin in paracentesis – induced circulatory dysfunction in cirrhosis: A randomized pilot study” at 41st Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Liver (EASL – 2006) held in Vienna, Austria between April 26-30, 2006.
  • Attended 41st Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Liver (EASL – 2006) held in Vienna, Austria between April 26-30, 2006 and presented a paper entitled “Noradrenaline and albumin in paracentesis – induced circulatory dysfunction in cirrhosis: A randomized pilot study”.

  • American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy selected me as an ASGE Ambassador to teach and train physicians, the endoscopic medical care at centers around the world and I alongwith other Ambassadors trained physicians at pilot Ambassador Program at its Training Center in Cairo, Egypt from February 19-26, 2010.
  • American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy awarded me the Fellowship of ASGE (FASGE) for my contribution in the field of Endoscopy.
  • Delivered guest lecture as distinguished speaker on “Ascites- causes and management in East” at Asian Pacific Association of Study of Liver Disease on 18th Feb 2012 held at Taipei,Taiwan.
  • Visiting Professor to the state of art centre for liver diseases at Beaujon Hospital,Clichy,France from 24th -25th April,2012 and delivered a guest lecture entitled “Vasopressor therapy in Ascites and Hepatorenal Syndrome”.
  • Paper entitled “Granulocyte-Colony Stimulating Factor (G-CSF) in Severe Alcoholic Hepatitis: A Randomized Controlled Trial” was presented and selected as Poster of Distinction at Digestive Disease Week – 13 Conference held at Orlando (USA) between 18th May 2013 to 21st May 2013.
  • Delivered guest lecture on “New biomarkers of renal tubular damage in patients with cirrhosis” at APASL-IAC symposium at Asian Pacific Association of Study of Liver Disease on 8th June 2013 held at Singapore.
  • Research entitled “Singh V, Dhungana SP, Singh B, Vijayverghia R, Nain CK, Sharma N, Bhalla A,Gupta PK. Midodrine in patients with cirrhosis and refractory or recurrent ascites : a randomized pilot study.J Hepatol 2012;56:348-354” discussed at special session of AASLD 2012 at Boston-Advances for practitioners which is a rare distinction for any Indian Research and incorporated in AASLD Practice Guidelines for the management of Cirrhotic Ascites-Hepatology 2013.
  • Research entitled “Singh V, Ghosh S, Singh B, Kumar P, Sharma N, Bhalla A, Sharma AK, Choudhary NS, Chawla Y, Nain CK. Noradrenaline versus terlipressin in the treatment of hepatorenal syndrome : a randomized study.J Hepatol 2012;56:1293-1298” discussed at special session of AASLD 2013 at Washington DC-Advances for practitioners which is a rare distinction for any Indian Research.
